Rice Lake Utilities is a consumer-owned Municipal Utility offering Electric-Water, and Wastewater services to the Rice Lake area. A five member Utility Commission governs Rice Lake Utilities operation.

Rice Lake Utilities

Electricity: The Electric Utility currently serves 5,120 consumers located in the Rice Lake area. The system peak demand has reached 33 MW with annual revenues of 9.5 million dollars per year. The utility maintains a competitive rate structure with very reliable service.

Water: The Water Utility currently serves 3,573 customers, operates 4 municipal wells and 3 water towers in the City of Rice Lake. The system pumping capacity of 3,000 gallons per minute with a storage capacity of 650,000 gallons. The average daily demand is 1.2 million gallons with a maximum daily capacity of 4.3 million gallons. The water quality is exceptional with a competitve decreasing rate schedule with increased usage.

Wastewater: The Wastewater Utility currently serves 3,573 consumers in the City of Rice Lake. The utility operates a modern wastewater treatment facility that has a current design flow of 2.2 million gallons per day with a current average daily flow of 1.44 million gallons. The collection system is gravity fed to the activated sludge treatment plant.
